Today, Tkay Maidza shared a brand new single, “Silent Assassin,” produced by fellow Aussie, Flume. A laser-focused song about self-empowerment and self-confidence, Tkay raps with a razor-sharp cadence to Flume’s industrial earth-shuddering beats, reminding everyone she’s a “jigsaw, not a quick fix.” Watch the video below:
On the track, Tkay said “I like to move in silence, but this song is a reminder that people shouldn’t count me out or underestimate
my abilities; they should be afraid when I’m quiet as I come back more evolved” and “I’ve always wanted to work with Flume and was immediately ecstatic when he played the instrumental for this; I wanted to channel Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot.”
